Description
Weekly Twitter chat for people in agriculture, including those in the business of producing food, feed, fuel and fiber. The mission of #agchat is to keep an ongoing, open dialogue amongst the various players in the agriculture, farming and ranching worlds.
This live, thought-provoking discussion features 3-6 questions participants discuss and debate. The first 10 minutes are "social time" for introductions and the last 15 minutes are for people to "pitch" their ideas, blogs, sites or ask for insights specific to their business. Participants from around the world have enjoyed this streaming conversation about the agrifood business.
A "sister tweetup", #foodchat, is designed to bring consumers together with agriculture on the third Tuesday of each month to bridge the farm gate to the consumer plate.
Both chats were created and continue to be moderated by Michele Payn-Knoper of Cause Matters Corp., who works to give a voice to the people who feed the world.
